New Addition- Daniel Victor Cooke

On March 26th, 2010 at 3:51am Daniel Victor Cooke was born. He was 7lbs. 13oz and 22.25 inches. That night I was having more contractions that were 15min apart and we called the dr. after we got off the phone they jumped to 3min and I was able to take a shower and get ready for the hospital. We arrived and when I was checked I was 4cm and definately in labor. I was in a lot of pain and begging for them to get my epidural. I was a little worried if they checked me again I would be too far along and wouldnt be able to get one. But I was only 6cm, thank goodness. Once I got the epidural they told me tol let them know if I had any pressure. It only took 30 min and I started too and at that point I was 10cm and ready to go. I think it was 2am when the dr said it was time to start pushing. I was completely shocked and not ready to start pushing it didn't seem possible yet. Then after hour of pushing Daniel made his appearance. He came out "sunny side up" they said which is head up which caused his poor little head to be distorted. He was healthy and wide awake for the first 2hours and then practically slept the next 24 hours.

We came home Saturday afternoon and he has been such a good baby. Just sleeps and eats and doesn't even need to be held to get him to fall asleep. Madison is loving her brother and she is very gentle with him and listens very well when we tell her the rules about having a baby in the house. I hope this keeps up because that means I have the best kids ever.
